Scandinavian Style

Snow is still falling, and I'm still struggling to take some pictures outside in the freezing cold, yes I'm talking about -15. Either way, that's just an excuse I've been telling myself for the past few months as I've been sinking into the sofa and becoming  part of the furniture.
I've been wanting to focus on Scandinavian style for a very long time, how it differs to other European countries. There are many ways in which I could answer this, but for now I will just focus on one sector - simplicity. Scandinavian women just bloom with beauty, their light palette textile tones against their fair skin and golden hair makes them appear very effortless. On the contrary, Britain for example tend to glam up much more, the usage of heavy makeup, glittery details and 6 inch heels. This of course doesn't apply to the whole nation but its factual from my experience. As you can see from my images, I enjoy makeup, golden jewerly and black clothing, so yes, I haven't escaped from England yet.
Recently I've been researching different fashion brands within Scandinavia and I've decided to dedicate blogs to specific brand which I've most liked. GinaTricot, a Swedish family owned brand was the first that really caught my sight, their chic, simple and great designs led me to buy a bunch of clothes and try them out. I tend to wear mostly black, well I actually only wear black, but I promised myself I will explore other colours and step out of my self-comfort zone. As Coco Chanel once said “Women think of all colours except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”
